Yeah...title's straight to the point.

Just bought Platinum two days ago, and I realize I'm ill-prepared against Fantina (who's now demoted to Gym Leader Three). I either need a Ghost type or a Dark-type Pokemon, and I have Eevee in my party while the Old Chateau is accessible with Rotom.

Now, I don't want to screw this up, considering that Rotom's a one-time only Pokemon. I'm aware that Gastly and Haunter "haunt" the place (as well as Gengar once I get the National Dex), but there's only one Rotom in the game and I nabbed the Secret Key already (Event ends May 12th, fellow Platinum players from America, so get it while you can). There's also a Drifloon appearing every Friday, but I'm lazy.

Other than the placement change with Fantina, there are also other differences in Platinum that make it more unique from Diamond and Pearl. I'm well aware of the Distortion World, but that's just one of the more...challenging aspects I look forward to.

EDIT: Just found out, in Japan, around the fall term, the remakes of Gold and Silver are coming out in Japan. Whoop-de-doo. After the release, the games will come out in America sometime in 2010.

I don't know if I can contain my excitement for long...and I already know what I'm starting with (Cyndaquil).
